Who we are

Calquest is a brain-training game published by ParentsConnect. This policy explains what the Calquest mobile app and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Calquest is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at support@playcalquest.com and we will delete it.

What we collect

You can play without an account. A guest profile is created on your device and stores:

• A random device identifier, so your progress survives closing the app
• Your game progress: level, XP, coins, streaks, scores and per-game statistics
• Your settings: theme, sound, haptics, notification preference, chosen difficulty
• Country and language, taken from your device settings

If you create an account, we additionally store whichever of these you provide:

• Phone number — if you sign in by phone. Stored so you can sign in again, and so the number can only belong to one account.
• Email address and username — if you sign in with a password.
• Google account identifier, email and name — if you use Google Sign-In. We receive these from Google; we never see your Google password.
• Birth year — optional, used only to set a starting difficulty.
• A parent's email address — only if you choose to enable progress reports.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files. The app requests only vibration, internet, notifications and billing permissions.

One-time codes and WhatsApp

If you sign in with a phone number, we send a one-time code to that number over WhatsApp. That message is sent through MSG91 from the WhatsApp Business account of ParentsConnect, our parent company — so the message you receive will show ParentsConnect as the sender, not Calquest. Your number is shared with MSG91 only to deliver that message.

Codes are stored hashed, never in readable form, and are deleted after a short period.

Analytics and payments

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — records in-app events such as which screens you open and which games you start, together with a device identifier. It tells us which parts of the app get used. It does not receive your phone number, email or name.
• Google Play Billing — handles Premium subscriptions. Payment is taken by Google. We never see or store your card details; we receive only a purchase token so we know your subscription is valid.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show advertising, and we share nothing with advertising networks.
• We do not show your phone number or email to other players.

Other players can see only what a profile is meant to show: your display name, avatar, level, rank and public statistics.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. One-time codes are deleted within days of being issued.

When you delete your account we remove your personal information and your gameplay records outright. Two things survive: purchase records, which tax law requires us to keep, and matches you played against other people, which belong to your opponent too and are kept with your side anonymised. The deletion page lists exactly what goes and what stays.

Your choices

• Play anonymously — you are never required to create an account.
• Delete your account — in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or by email if you have already uninstalled. See the deletion page.
• Ask for a copy, or for partial deletion — email support@playcalquest.com from the address or number on the account and we will action it.
• Turn off notifications — in the app's settings, or in your device settings.

Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and one-time codes as salted digests, so neither can be read back out of our database.
